CPHA COVID-19 and Public Health Forum

Dr. Sarah Moore, Dr. Michelle Guerrero, and Dr. Louise de Lannoy participated in the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) COVID-19 and Public Health Forum (virtual), with Dr. Mark Tremblay acting as Chair and Moderator of the symposium entitled: “COVID-19 Restrictions Linked with Adverse Movement Behaviours in Canadian children and youth”.

Dr. Moore started the symposium off with a description of the movement and play behaviours survey conducted last year at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Guerrero discussed characteristics of those children and youth most likely to adhere or not adhere to the movement behaviour guidelines, and Dr. de Lannoy presented on regional differences in time spent outdoors and in outdoor play during the pandemic.
