ReImagine RREC

ReImagine RREC (Renew, Retool, Engage, Contribute) is a national COVID-19 recovery initiative led by the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) and its partners and is supported by Sport Canada and the Government of Canada.

ReImagine RREC aims to support administrators, policymakers, practitioners, and volunteers working in recreation, parks, and community sport to return to sustainable operations and contribute to improving the health and wellbeing of Canadians as part of a broader effort towards community recovery. Applying a knowledge to action approach and aligned with A Framework for Recreation in Canada: Pathways to Wellbeing, ReImagine RREC is focused on identifying sector needs, impacts, implications, and recovery strategies informed by a literature review, collection and analysis of sector and population survey data, key informant interviews, and crowdsourced information on promising and ‘next’ practices. CPRA will share strategies, tools, and other information resulting from these activities with leaders across Canada in late spring, 2021.
