The Canadian Centre for Outdoor Play (CCOP) Champions Program aims to recognize and celebrate educators across Canada who champion outdoor play. To guide this initiative, we are using the three key pedagogical practices identified in the CCOP’s Outdoor Early Childhood Education Framework to help identify champions: active engagement, holistic development, and meaningful connections. Note: while this program is informed by our Outdoor Early Childhood Education Framework, it is open to educators of children of all ages. This program has also just recently launched - if you have any suggestions on how it may be improved, please let us know below!
